I love this picture. It was taken at the Pavilion in Kuala Lumpur. We were just hanging out together. That day was really awesome.
But I don't like the taxi guy who took us back to Perpustakaan Negara (National Library) from the Pavilion. It was this chinese middle aged guy; wearing black sunglasses and a cotton white shirt with little flowers on it. when we stepped into the red Proton Saga with the yellow hood and a sign on top written 'taxi' on it;; the radio was blasting out chinese disco songs.
He was nodding his head;; bobbing up and down;; up and down;; like a pathetic and lonely man. (I seriously hate this guy!!!!)
To make an otherwise long story short;; we hopped into the taxi. But it was just after we made ourselves comfortable that he delivered a blow.
The trip from Perpustakaan Negara to Pavi costed only RM5.
But he's gonna cost us RM15.
The reason; he said there will be lots of traffic jam and yadda yadda yadda! I was sitting there; gaping to his every word.
We were in a hurry at that time. But I hesitated. Ashley and Ayyna had already gone really quiet. I know; like me; they're thinking hard.
But he upped the ante for too high! I scowled at him from behind. He was like;; rushing us to make a decision quick;; that old liar! I'm sure he was worried we'll decline the cantankerous offer and shoot him in the head! Or punch him in the face. Or break the windows. Or kick him in the g***n. Or break his neck.
But if we let this one go maybe we'll not get another one! We were really in an emergency and we have to arrive at our destination really quick!
I was starting to feel like strangling that old bat!
I don't like being in this kind of situation. I don't like being pushed around; furthermore by a complete stranger who may be dangerous; judging from the disco music blaring through the speakers. I mean;; he must be crazy right??
I'm totally honest when I said that I hate this guy! Rasa naak mencaarut pun aada juga! My palms were tingling to slap his face. My hands were trembling from the longing to give him a beating. Seriously. No kidding here.
But I admit that I also felt kinda scared also. I mean;; he's a grown-up guy. Who listens to disco music. Yeah.
But I'm not just gonna let him boss us around. No way!
I was about to say no when Ashley shushed me up and nodded gravely.
At that time I was so disbelieved! I mean;; he costs us too much!
And then suddenly he gave us a second blow. Boley pulaa dia tanya Peprpustakaan Negara kaat mana! Eyy! He doesn't even know where we're going!!
TT^TT
That OLD MAN! I know;; his family must have had already left him for the jerk he is! Good-for-nothing; OLD MAN who only knows how to make money by tricking people.
"What are you talking about-" I was about to give him a piece of my mind when Ashley signaled me to shut up.
This is like;; the first time I got on a taxi with her;; and this man ruined my day!!!
"It's okay;; it's okay;;" Ashely was trying to cool me down.
"Okay;; I'll call my friend and ask him for the way;; eh?"
'Yeah old man;; be frigging quick or I'll wring your neck!' I was dying to rebel. "Okay." I was pissed but I was also scared at what might happen if I say the wrong things.
Then he finally moved his car. He called one of his chinese cab-driver friends. As he talked in a string of fast chinese words;; all three of us look at each other.
Ayana was looking confused and was smiling uncertainly. Ashely was gloomy;; she looked worried and was frowning. Meanwhile;; I'm pissed;; scared and NATIONALLY PISSED. This guy got some frigging nerve to lie kids like us off our money.
Like I said before;; it should only cost us RM5. The journey wasn't even long!
"This old man's a frigging liar." I was hissing at Ashley;; while he was talking and laughing in the phone.
"It's okay.." Ashley herself was angry.
"Yeah;;" Ayana agreed.
"We should've get another taxi!"
"It will take us forever to get one!" Ashley countered back. I frowned. "Just cool down babe."
I still felt that this doesn't feel right;; but I decided to shut up. It's best for this kind of situation.
It doesn't help my mood when suddenly;; we're stuck in a jam. It's rush-hour time;; people were driving home from work.
He had finished talking on the phone. He doesn't changed the radio station. It's annoying me. I feel like vandalising his cab.
Then he started asking questions. What;; after sucking us off our money;; he's now trying to be friendly? NO way! I'm not going to let him think that we're stupid sissies!
"So you go out with your boyfriends eh?"
Ashley and Ayana laughed. "No;; just with friends."
"Really?? Don't be naughty eh??" He said playfully;; looking into the head mirror. I looked outside. He's DISGUSTING. Ashley and Ayana laughed. It wasn't even funny.
"What's wrong with the one in purple? Sick? She's quiet semacam."
"Just sick of you;;" I tried to make my voice as loud as possible.
Ayana's eyes widened and Ashley was quick to cover up my mistake. "Yeah;; but she's fine now." She nudged me.
The atmosphere turned to gloom. I was sure he heard clearly what my answer is. It was drizzling;; and the cars on the road was moving slooooooooooooooowlyyyyyyyyyyy.
I couldn't stand it. The cab. The noise. The 'thing' driving the cab. The scared Ayana and Ashley.
At last we arrived. I was the first one to jump out. Looking at him made my skin crawl;; so I looked away.
"RM15 right?" Ashley asked;; counting the money.
"Yes." He sound too eager for me.
"Here;; RM5." Ayana shoved the amount into Ashley's hand.
"Okay." She handed him the money. I feel like making him eat my shoe.
"Okay." Then he drove off. Not even a thank you. Suckerrrr.
I didn't even try to make conversation with Ashley and Ayana after that. I'm so furious at them for playing along.
