Domestic Politics

Assalamualaikum peepers.

Yes I haven't been blogging and I'm not trying to say that I have any valid reasons cause I'll just might as well say that I am secretly Barack Obama's daughter and Malaysia is a country that have four seasons and we have to wear layers of sweaters cause it's winter allllllll the time here.

Yes I tend to ramble but I like to think that that's one of my strong personality points.

Someone gimme my cookie rewards please?

Anyways before we elaborate on the given topic I would like to discuss the meaning of the words 'domestic' and 'politics'.

What is the meaning of domestic?

Okay according to my memorial intelligence (shut up that's totally a word NOW that i've created it);; domestic is a verb that refers to something homey and around the area. For example the term domestic abuse (for some unfathomable reason that's one of my favorite terms of the moment) is referred to an unjustified act of violence that happens inside a person's home. If for example a person was abused in an abandoned house that is not domestic abuse. That is simply 'in-an-abandoned-house-abuse.' This is only according to my kefahaman-  no need to trash-talk me because of my limited knowledge.

Now what is the meaning of politics?

Politics is referred to the relationship between at least two parties that is definitely anything BUT romantically inclined. To put it simply;; it's another name for the dynamics of a relationship between two separate parties or more.

So combine the tow words together;; what do you get?

Domestic Politics.

Okay if these two words combined together they made a very different meaning. The term domestic politics is used to explain how the things worked between parties living in the same house under the same roof using water from the same water tank and hanging their clothes on the same tempat sidai baju and all that jazz.

I had just got back from Jordan a few days back;; on the first of August to be exact;; and I lived with three seniors there in a flat house that has three rooms;; a spacious living room and a toilet without a flush. I spent two months there since the beginning of June to the end of July to finish my non-government-sponsored fully-paid short summer course learning Arabic language-which I SUCKED BIG TIMEST TME OF MY LIFE!!!!- five days of he week.

It was my first experience actually living and accumulating private things outside my home and it was there that I experienced a little bit of  domestic politics.

We used two rooms for bedrooms and I have the seniorest senior in the house as my roommate. She was a DAMNED PERFECTIONISTS PERFECTIONIST FROM THE WORLD OF PERFECTIONIST LOCATED IN THE GALAXY OF PERFECTIONISM IN THE UNIVERSE OF UTTER AND COMPLETE PERFECTION!! No I'm not complaining. I'm just detoxicating.

First rule in domestic politics::

    Every house has a dominant.

And Saiba-san is the dominant(ress??) in our house. She's 22 this year and had lived alone since she was 16 (since her parents thought it was a good idea to send her to Indonesia to study in 'Kontor' where they values traditional lifestyle so much that they even iron their clothes with coal-powered ones). So I kinda understand the motherly aura she's emanating in full blast.

She's not the only one who can cook in the house;; but she's definitely the most hardworking one cause she doesn't takes the easy way out and use those pastes and cubes that comes in packets- noooooooo she'll whip out the scissors and will cut the dried chilies and beat the anchovies and produce magic into the environment. So maybe that's why Saiba-san felt like she has the right to nag.

Did I said she was a perfectionist? Humans naturally love cleeanliness and neatliness right? But she made me feel like I took the terms REAAAALLLLLLLYYYYYYYY loosely. Okay for example I took the sejadah to use during prayer right? When I took it the visible crease of the clothe was facing the wall right? I got a hard smack on the shoulder for putting it back in the right position but facing the wrong direction. She actually nagged me about that. I felt like I found myself a wife and at that moment I swear I'm soooooo glad I'm a woman and it's 'Haram' for me to marry another woman.

On different occasions I got nagged because I left the mugs on the floor after I drank;; or I accidentally moved her books three inches to the left;; or I didn't hang my clothes properly that from the side they look all messy;; or even if I hang all of my clothes inside-out cause I was too lazy to correct them and just hang them as they were when I hung them outside in the sunshine to dry. And once she stopped talking to me for a little bit over half an hour because I washed my dirty laundry when she wants to wash hers. Though I'll admit I kinda deserve the cold shoulder since I did used up all the water at the time.

Now that brings us to rule number two::

If you're angry with a housemate just shut up and don't talk to the offender about it. Ignore.

Now I have a slight problem with this rule. Saiba-san had did this to me three times in the last two months. Though I think that's a shockingly small number since I can be annoying if I'm annoyed enough with a person. Maybe that just means that everybody can't help but love me.

I am the type of person that is very open about my feelings. If I love someone I'll tell them if I suddenly got the urge to. I have to other housemates that are both seniors;; Aka-san and Jira-san. Once Jira-san went to another friend's house to finish their cooking and I called her just because.

"Assalamualaikum Jira-san! What are you doing?"
"Am doing nothing? Why~? Did you miss me~??"
"Yeahhhh~~ I just wanna hear your voice. It felt like a long time since I last saw you."

If you ask my opinion on PDA;; I'm all " Let's all unite and vote for it!" Though with all things;; there are limits   that I seriously think that people have to seriously ab
